How do I find my art style?

I’ve been really into sketching and loose watercolor lately, especially buildings and outdoor scenes like this one. But I’m still trying to figure out what makes my art feel like “me.” Do you think your art style just happens over time, or do you have to actually work on finding it? What helped you find yours?

I am not great with watercolor, but I think a good way I started developing "style" was through abstract paintings. It rly helps u loosen up and rely on your sense. I think art style can just happen over time, but I think you can also work on ways of finding it. Still, I think that your art looks rly good as it is!

My biggest advice is don't try to push an artistic voice, this is something that takes time and experimentation. Utilize a sketchbook and use it as a brain dump of ideas and trials and error with mediums or subject matter. You will begin to find what makes you click and what pages draw you back. I began to find my voice when I started to create what art I wanted to see in the world, not what I thought would fit in a box of what others would like. Create what brings you true joy and the "voice" will follow :)
