Sketchbook Fear

Whenever I start a new spread, I get so worried about ruining the sketchbook and I'm so scared to start. Do you guys have any advice on how to overcome this fear?

I used to keep two sketchbooks, one for like random exploration and another for like "thought out" spreads. Thinking back, it was lwky not a great idea cause I had that fear for my "perfect sketchbook." Now I just like care less about my sketchbook so I kinda just dont have that fear anymore. I think maybe if for your first spread you scribbled all over it to like start off the sketchbook loose and messy and maybe then you can feel more open with the rest of it?

Thank you, scribbling all over the first page actually sounds like a good idea

I think watching like instagram sketchbooks spread reveals makes this worse cause it always looks perfect. If u watch like those reels I think it might help if you did not compare yourself to them. Also, sketchbooks are not meant to be perfect.
