We’re looking for student artists who are curious, thoughtful, and excited by the idea of growing alongside a creative community. When you join NextCanvas, you’re not just submitting artwork — you’re stepping into a lifelong network built on shared learning, mentorship, and paying it forward.

What It Means to Be a NextCanvas Young Creator

Students are invited into the NextCanvas Young Creators Honor Circle through our annual Artist Call. Qualified students will receive an invitation to join the Young Creators community. Membership is optional—students may accept or decline with no obligation. ​Young Creators gain access to a professional platform designed to help launch their creative journey:

• Curated Artist Profile
  A dedicated page featuring your bio, artist statement, and selected works — designed to help colleges, galleries, and mentors discover your work.

• Featured Gallery
  A showcase of your top signature pieces, serving as a living digital portfolio.

• Creative Visibility
  Optional links to your professional art accounts (such as Instagram or Behance) to support your independent creative presence.​

A Community Built on “Paying It Forward”

Being part of NextCanvas means contributing to something larger than yourself. Our Fellows actively shape the community by:

• Creating Connection: Organizing sketch sessions, gallery visits, peer critiques, and creative meet-ups — online or in person.

• Sharing the Journey: Documenting artistic milestones, exhibitions, and lessons learned to support others navigating similar paths.

• Growing Into Mentors: As Fellows mature into artists, designers, and creative leaders, they remain part of the NextCanvas community — eventually returning as mentors and guides for future students.
